Our voucher program collaborates with 135 social service agencies and schools partner with us by identifying men, women, and children in immediate need of hair care and living within the poverty level. They are given vouchers which they redeem at one of 26 beauty salons/barber shops or beauty schools for haircuts, perms, relaxers or press & curl services. Franciscan Haircuts from the Heart then reimburses the salons/barber shops for their services given to the voucher recipients. An average of 1600 voucher services are redeemed annually.

In order for clients to be eligible they must live at or below the federal poverty guideline. There is no cost to the client or to the school or social service agency that give the hair care vouchers to clients.
